Weekend success! Lake Erie Trophy Walleye Charter

Successful Weekend fishing for Lake Erie Walleyes.

What a tough weekend.  Now wonder the forecast was all over the place.  The weather sure was.  Friday they were predicting 1-3' waves out of the NW.  We set up a good troll and had several pull backs but only landed one fish trolling.  We ended up jigging the flats the rest of the evening with anticipation of the up coming two calm days predicted.  When we woke up Saturday morning Lake Erie was high and rough, with 3-5' seas out of the NE.  I had to put the boat on the trailer and seek shelter by the Islands.  We managed 3 Tankers trolling in the calmer water.  Then we went jigging for a while and caught a few other species, but no Walleye.  Sunday the forecasters were calling for even rougher seas and it was doubtful we would even be able to fish.  Much to our surprise the lake was in pretty good shape on Sunday morning and the down graded the forecast.  We had our best day on Sunday, and managed to catch a nice rack of fish by 1 pm.  Not bad for sticking it out in March.
